1. Matilda the Musical
The multi award winning musical finally makes its way to the Adelaide Festival Centre. With the book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin, you are sure to witness a fantastic adaptation of the Matilda story we all know and love. Running from 21 May until the 16th July. 2. Adelaide Cabaret Festival
Every June Long Weekend, one of Adelaide’s favourite festivals begin. The Adelaide Cabaret Festival, in its 17th year, has become a major international event. The Festival has garnered a reputation of highlighting the best local, national and international artists through an eclectic program of classic and contemporary cabaret performances. 3. Umbrella: Winter City Sounds

4. Guitars in Bars
With the success of Guitars in Bars in 2016, Adelaide Guitar Festival is bringing it back in 2017. Guitars in Bars and other places is taking the Adelaide Guitar Festival to the pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants and exhibition spaces across South Australia with a series of free and ticketed gigs. Guitars in Bars is a big shout out to music loving South Australians – get out and support fantastic live gigs in venues around the state. 5. SALA Festival
The SALA Festival is an annual celebration of South Australian living visual artists. Held every August, literally thousands of artists exhibit in hundreds of venues throughout metropolitan and regional South Australia.
Featuring an extraordinary range of exhibition venues, both conventional and unusual, SALA is unique. The art is as diverse as the artists with multiple and mixed medium works, including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, digital media, moving image, glass, ceramics, textiles and more.

6. Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland returns to Glenelg 1- 23 July 2017. Strap on your skates and glide under SA’s first clear domed marquee on Moseley Square and this year, why not try your hand at Tobogganing down a 25m genuine ice slide. Come rain, hail or shine; morning, noon or night bring the family and skate by Adelaide’s favourite beach.
