Every February and March, Adelaide comes alive bringing thousands of visitors to the city. Summer may be technically over, but the weather is usually still beautiful and there is plenty to do (we mean it)! So get your calendars ready, there is something for everyone. 2 – 3 February: Espresso Martini Festival If you like coffee, and like martinis, then this is the event for you. Taking place is Rymill Park and will showcase the best of the best when it comes to Espresso Martinis. Vote for your favourite martini, learn to make your own and enjoy the large array of food and entertainment during the festival.
3 February: Adelaide Crows AFLW Game Season 2017 was a huge success, with the Adelaide Crows Ladies taking our the Cup. Head to their first game of the season at Norwood Oval against Brisbane Lions for the Grand Final Rematch. Check out the fixture for all of the home games in Adelaide.
10 February: Port Adelaide Football Club Family Day The doors open up at Alberton for the annual Port Adelaide Family Day. Along with a internal trial game, there will be loads of entertainment, giveaways, food and drink options and much more! Gold coin entry at the door.
10 February: Pink and Blue Swim/Walk 2018 In its 4th Year, The West Beach Surf Lifesaving Club will hold its annual Pink and Blue Swim to raise much needed funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. This non-competitive event is perfect for any age or fitness level with pets allowed to join you on the walk. 11 February: RnB Vine Days RnB at a winery… who ever thought of this is a genius. Bring your friends, family and set up a picnic and watch some of the great 90’s RnB stars at Leconfield Winery. This inaugural event is one of the RnB Winery Shows around the country and features the likes of Boyz II Men, Shaggy, TLC and more. 16 February – 18 March: The Adelaide Fringe 57 years strong, and the biggest festival in the Southern Hemisphere, The Adelaide Fringe is one of the flagstaff events on the cities calendar. The fringe completely takes over Adelaide and surrounding suburbs for 31 amazing days and nights of comedians, performers, actors, musicians and MUCH more. The Adelaide Fringe kicks off Adelaide’s festival season and pubs, theatres, tents, parks and even empty buildings all become potential venues for the sometimes weird and sometimes wonderful Fringe shows. It all begins with the Adelaide Opening Night Fringe Street Party on Friday 16 February. The street party takes over North Terrace and is a fantastic night! 22 – 24 February: For the love of Mrs Brown It was voted as one of Britain’s best sitcoms, and now it takes to the big stage in Adelaide. For the love of Mrs Brown is the latest production of the side-splitting series written by and starring Brendan O’Carroll. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit Ticketek.
23 – 24 February: A night at the Museum Have your kids ever wanted to spend a night at a museum? If so, then the South Australian Museum is where you need to be on the 23- 24 February. On Friday 23 February, the doors will open for kids 5-12 to join in one the pyjama party and spend the evening exploring the museum at night without the commitment of sleeping over, with the 8-14 year old’s sleepover taking place on Saturday 24 February. 25 February: IceBar Experience Out of all the pop up bars that hit Adelaide during this time of year, this would have to be the coolest! For one day only, enjoy this unique experience in North Adelaide. The bar and seats are made from solid ice, sip your drink for ice glasses and the room is full of ice sculptures. Rug up in the provided snow gear and enjoy your bar experience at -10 degrees.
1 – 4 March: Adelaide 500 One of Adelaide’s biggest sporting events is back in 2018 with a brand new name. Celebrating their 20th anniversary, the Adelaide 500 will bring Adelaide’s streets to life, with an event packed with action, entertainment and unforgettable moments you do not want to miss. Taking place from Thursday 1 – Sunday 4 March 2018, the Adelaide 500 is not only known for its adrenaline charging motor race, but also its off field entertainment. These attractions include air displays, car and bike shows, Showtime FMX displays and of course, the live concerts (Yes, Robbie Williams!!)
2 – 4 March: Cellar Door Fest Head to the Convention Centre and delight your taste buds with some of the best South Australian Produce. Over 180 wineries , breweries, distilleries and food producers across 17 regions will all be in the one area for you to taste, meet the makers and also stock up on all your favourites. 4 March: Robbie Williams As part of the Adelaide 500, UK superstar, Robbie Williams will headline the concert series at the 2018 event. What a way to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of such an important South Australian Event. Tickets are still available, we have ours.. make sure you get yours before you miss out. 2 – 18 March: Adelaide Festival For more than 55 years, The Adelaide Festival has been internationally recognised for delighting audiences with and outstanding mix of theatre, music, dance, artists and writers. 2018 will mark the second Adelaide Festival presented by Co-Artistic Directors Neil Armfield AO and Rachel Healy. 7 March: Ed Sheeran It may be sold out, but if you can get your hands on a ticket… we say do it! Ed Sheeran is one of the biggest names in music and is coming to Adelaide for one night only. Its a show you do not want to miss.
8- 12 March: Wild Nights at the Zoo This amazing experience is only open to 12 lucky couples. Spend 4 nights at the zoo and be surrounded by the wonderful animal noises, participate in a night time safari, plus more, all while the acts of WOMADelaide can be heard over the fence. 9 – 12 March: WOMADelaide Taking over Botanic Park for 4 days, WOMADelaide features performances by the world’s best traditional and contemporary musicians, dancers, DJs, street theatre and visual arts. Famous for not only its acts, but also the family friendly atmosphere and diversity of the audience.
12 March: Adelaide Cup One of Morphettville’s biggest race days is on again…. Get a group together and head to the track and enjoy premium hospitality, food, bars and entertainment. Whether you book a package in one of the package areas, or head in as general admission, it is guaranteed to be a great day!
15 March – 15 April: American Express Glenelg Openair Cinema: Formally known as Ben & Jerry’s open air cinema, will be back in Glenelg in 2018. Audiences will be treated with gourmet food, drinks and music until the sun goes down, the movie begins under the stars. Keep an eye out for movie schedules and tickets here.
18 March: Behind the Scenes Tour and Breakfast at Adelaide Zoo Join the wonderful volunteers and visit areas of the zoo that are not open to the public. Following the tour, you will be treated a delicious breakfast. This is a great idea for a family outing. Visit the Adelaide Zoo website for more information, and to book your spot.
26 March: Bruno Mars Grammy Award winner and world-renowned, multi-platinum selling singer/songwriter/producer/director/musician, Bruno Mars is set to return to Australia next March as part his 24K Magic World Tour. With support act Dua Lipa, this concert will have you dancing and singing all night long.
